I have always wanted to do a Martial Art, ever since I was very young…. I did do some Karate with my dad originally, however I could never commit to it as I was a shy lad. I first tried Choi Kwang Do a few years back at Tipson CKD, however being an un-confident individual I saw all of the students with different coloured belts, and I was a bit overwhelmed….

When I heard that Mr Roper was opening a brand new school in Leatherhead, I jumped at the chance! I figured that training with everyone at White Belt would make it easier on my confidence. I signed up straight away, and it has been the best decision I have ever made!

Becoming an Assistant Instructor in Choi Kwang Do has definitely boosted my confidence, and by teaching, it has also improved my ability as a Martial Artist. My goal is to one day become a Chief Instructor like Mr Roper, and pass on what knowledge Choi Kwang Do has given me to others.

Choi Kwang Do has increased my fitness, confidence, energy and overall given me a goal and passion in life. Choi Kwang Do is now essential to my life, and I do not know what I would have done without it.
